[Icy-Veins] Diablo IV Season 9 Lets You Build Your Own Spells… Sort Of
Diablo IV‘s upcoming Season 9 is bringing another power customizable features: Horadric Spells. Instead of passively equipping powers like in past seasons, however, you will now be able to build and modify a unique spell that activates alongside their core skills. How Does Spellcrafting Work If you played previous Diablo IV seasons, you probably know how this power system works. The Core feature works exactly the same as Witch powers or Boss Powers: you get a Catalyst spell, you equip it on a skill, it triggers when you use it. Simple enough. Nothing new. However, the Horadric Spells do come with a twist: you can customize them! The system is centered around a new interface that lets you slot three components:

You can really craft your new skill to tailor it to your build. What is exciting is that this new spell does not replace your existing kit: it complements it. The Arcana system especially opens up a ton of synergy potential, especially when combined with seasonal upgrades and item interactions. And while you will pick up components from seasonal quests and dungeons, there is also a new upgrade loop using Horadric Phials to level up your spells. Basically, it’s the same as usual, but a bit different with more customization possibilities.
