These rules apply to all members and visitors across every US Military Gamers platform — including usmilitarygamers.com and all subdomains, the USMG Discord server, all social media pages (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.), Twitch, community forums, and any other space operated by or affiliated with USMG. They exist to ensure every platform remains a welcoming, productive, and respectful environment for all members and visitors.
Registration and Account Usage
#- All visitors are welcome to register and participate in our community. #
- A valid email address is required to register and use the forum. Existing accounts whose email address has become inaccessible must contact an administrator to have it updated. #
- Your email address is not visible to other members. If you choose to share personal contact details on any USMG platform, you do so at your own risk. US Military Gamers accepts no responsibility for the consequences of such disclosure. #
- Each member is permitted one account only. Creating duplicate accounts using the same or different email addresses is not permitted. #
-
Usernames must be between 4 and 20 characters. Members are encouraged to express themselves, but usernames may not: #
- Include racism, racist slurs, or convey racial undertones.
- Reference extreme nationalism, terrorism, authoritarianism, anti-semitism, or nazism.
- Promote or mock religious beliefs or cults in an extreme manner.
- Resemble or impersonate the name of any current or former admin, moderator, or community member.
- Reference sexuality, nudity, or pornography.
- Make a statement of a potentially inflammatory nature, including references to sensitive topics such as race, gender, or politics.
- Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters and include both letters and numbers. The registration form will indicate password strength as you create it. #
- Passwords must be updated at least once per year (every 365 days). #
- Usernames cannot be changed after an account is created. Exceptions may be granted at administrator discretion — contact an administrator to request a change. #
- Your profile is your responsibility. Your username, avatar, and any profile content must comply with the standards outlined in these rules, including professionalism, respect, and the username restrictions above. #
- By registering, you accept sole liability for all content you post or share on any USMG platform. You agree to indemnify US Military Gamers and its team members against any costs, claims, damages, liability, legal fees, or losses arising from your content or communications. USMG accepts no liability for damages resulting from a breach of these rules. We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to any content we determine to be in violation of these rules, at our sole discretion. #
General
#- This is an English-speaking community. All communication on USMG platforms must be in English. Military slang and abbreviations are welcome. #
- Sharing links to pirated software, cracks, keygens, or any other material that violates copyright law is not permitted and will be removed immediately. #
- Every member deserves equal respect. We expect common courtesy, honesty, and professionalism from all members and staff alike. Treat others with tolerance and respect regardless of background or beliefs. Harassment, bullying, trolling, or intentionally antagonizing other members will not be tolerated. We are here to game and have a good time. #
- Racist language, hate speech, or content targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, or national origin will result in permanent and immediate removal from all USMG platforms. #
- The USMG administration and moderation team reserves the right to edit, remove, or restrict any content across any USMG platform at any time. Moderation actions — including warnings, temporary restrictions, and permanent bans — are taken at the discretion of USMG staff and will be handled professionally. #
- You may not post copyrighted material beyond what is permitted under fair use, unless you own the copyright or USMG has explicit rights to it. Refer to our Terms of Use for details. #
- Political, racial, and other divisive hot-button topics are not welcome on USMG platforms. This is a gaming community — there are plenty of other places for those discussions. #
- No Stolen Valor. Falsifying military credentials, service history, or rank to gain status or sympathy in this community will result in immediate and permanent removal from all USMG platforms. Everyone is welcome here as they are — there is no need to lie. Integrity matters. #
- Adult or 18+ content must be kept in appropriately designated channels or spaces. Do not post adult content in general-audience areas. #
- Verified members who represent US Military Gamers on social media or in external communities are expected to uphold these same standards. Conduct that reflects poorly on USMG may result in loss of that representation and further action. #
- Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply to all activity on the USMG Discord server and are enforced alongside these rules. Violations may result in immediate removal. #
Posting
#- Before posting on the forums, read the board descriptions and any pinned or sticky posts to make sure you're in the right place. #
- Use the forum search function before starting a new topic. If the question or subject has already been discussed, contribute to the existing thread rather than creating a duplicate. #
- Do not post the same topic in multiple forums. This is known as cross-posting or multi-posting and clutters the community. #
- Use a clear, descriptive subject line so others know what your post is about before opening it. A good title increases participation and makes the post easier to find later. Example — Wrong: "HELP!" | Right: "Problem connecting to game server on PC" #
- Content that is defamatory, offensive, illegal, obscene, deliberately provocative, or inflammatory is not permitted on any USMG platform. #
- Advertising and self-promotion are not permitted without prior approval from the USMG leadership team. External links may be shared when they are relevant to the conversation and not promotional in nature. Malicious links, phishing attempts, and repeated unsolicited promotion will result in immediate removal. If you're unsure whether a link is appropriate, ask a staff member first. #
- What you post must represent your own words and views. Opinions must be presented as opinions, not facts. You may not mislead, misquote, or impersonate another person in any post or message. #
- Personal disagreements and arguments should be taken to private messages rather than played out publicly. If a public dispute escalates, moderators may intervene. #
- If content doesn't interest you or you disagree with it, move on. Responding negatively to content simply because you find it pointless is not acceptable. #
- USMG is not responsible for content posted by members. We do not verify the accuracy or completeness of member posts. All content reflects the views of the individual who posted it, not the views of US Military Gamers. #
Private Messaging
#- Private messages on the forum are confidential and will not be read by staff unless a specific complaint is filed by another member and they provide the ID of the message in question. This same principle applies to direct messages on USMG Discord channels — DMs will not be reviewed except in response to a reported incident. #
Images and Profiles
#- Forum signatures may contain up to five lines of normal-sized text, or a single image no more than 100px tall and 500px wide accompanied by up to two lines of small-sized text. Normal or small font sizes only. #
- Forum avatars must be no larger than 100×100 pixels and no more than 205 KB in file size. Avatars must comply with the same content standards that apply to usernames — no offensive, sexual, or inflammatory imagery. #
- Signature links are limited to a maximum of 5. * USMG staff and members who contribute to the development or maintenance of this site are permitted additional signature links to support site operations. #
- You may not post, upload, share, or distribute copyright-protected material on any USMG platform without the rights to do so. Content taken from external sources must be properly attributed. Any content found to violate copyright will be removed immediately. You may be held personally liable for copyright violations or other laws broken through your posts. #
Moderation and Contacting Us
#- These rules apply to all content and conduct across every USMG platform — including the forums, Discord server, all social media pages, Twitch, and any subdomain or affiliated space operated by US Military Gamers. #
- The USMG Community Team is responsible for interpreting and enforcing these rules. Moderation actions — including warnings, temporary restrictions, and permanent bans — will only be taken when necessary to maintain a healthy community and will always be handled professionally. #
- If you have a concern about the conduct of a moderation staff member, contact an administrator directly via private message or the contact form. Do not raise staff conduct disputes publicly. #
- Use the "Report this post" feature to flag any content you believe violates these rules. The Community Team reviews all reports on a case-by-case basis and will act within a reasonable time frame if removal is warranted. Do not reply to or engage with content you have reported — let staff handle it. #
- The contact form at the bottom of this page is available for issues that should not be discussed publicly, including login problems or sensitive conduct reports. #
- Attempting to circumvent a ban or restriction — including by creating a new account, using a different device, or accessing USMG platforms through another member's account — will result in escalated and permanent action across all platforms. #
- Staff are not referees for every member disagreement. If a dispute becomes disruptive to the community, staff may step in — but the expectation is that members handle personal conflicts maturely and privately. Persistent drama that disrupts the community will be addressed with moderation action. #
- Enforcement actions may escalate depending on the severity and pattern of the violation: a formal warning, a temporary restriction or kick, or a permanent ban. Staff will always handle enforcement professionally. #
