[Icy-Veins] Is Diablo 4 Season 8 Just 2 Months Long?
Players have been noticing something strange with Belial’s Return. Looking through the Reliquaries, it looks like Season 8 may just be months in duration. Let’s take a look at what might be happening. 61 Days Left? When you go into one of the Reliquaries, you can find a “days left” section at the top, making it clear how long you have to claim the rewards. Right now, it says there’s 61 days left, making the whole of Season 8 last only 62. 
Previous seasons normally last around 3 months. A duration like this isn’t entirely unheard of, though. We did recently have another shorter season, as Season 5 only lasted 64 days. However, that was the final season of the base game ahead of the expansion. Season 7 actually went overtime, as it was extended two weeks, lasting 3 months and 9 days. So it’s not impossible that we have a shorter season this time around. Season 8 did not bring any massive overhauls or a big amount of content for it to last longer, so if we go by Season 5, perhaps the next season will be a lot bigger in terms of content. It’s also possible the Reliquary is just wrong and is taking the two-week extension of Season 7 into consideration, so it may be adding that on later. That could make sense as we do currently have another incorrect visual in-game, as the recent Season Journey reward structure hasn’t been updated to the actual rewards and won’t be until a patch arrives. Also, Belial IS the Lord of Lies, so if the duration is incorrect, that sure fits the theme! What would you prefer? A shorter season or the regular duration?
