For those of you who may be having trouble completing the penultimate chapter of the Season Journey, there’s a small detail that might help you out a lot! A Softer Knock If you’re having trouble reaching Torment 4 for the “Knock at the Gate of Hell” Chapter 5 journey challenge, it’s actually a lot easier than it seems. Now sure, you could just grab one of the meta builds here and blast through to T4. However, if you want to play your build or can’t quite get the gear needed, you can get it done with perseverance instead of damage! 
As it turns out, you don’t actually need to unlock Torment 4 to get the challenge done. While it does say that’s what you need to do, in actuality you just need to complete a tier 55 Pit. So what’s the difference? Well, completing a Pit and timing it aren’t the same thing! As coldcanyon1633 spotted, you only need to finish a tier 55 Pit. It doesn’t matter how much time it takes, just as long as you beat the boss eventually! It's not necessary to Unlock Torment IV to get the "Knock at the Gate of Hell" objective in the Season Journey

Just steel yourself for a whole lot wipes and take your time. Just make sure you’re repaired, because you can’t Town Portal out of the Pit without it closing!
