With the arrival of Season 8: Belial’s Return, Blizzard is changing how players earn seasonal rewards, tying them more closely to the Season Journey and offering exclusive new bonuses, including a cat pet named Iris. Progression Through the Season Journey Now Packs More Punch As players advance through Season 8’s structured objectives, they’ll now unlock more than in previous seasons, where it was mainly used for boosting your Battle Pass. Chapter rewards from the Season Journey now include Resplendent Sparks, and the ultimate reward: Iris the Cat, the new adorable and also scary companion. “She’ll keep an eye on your back, side, and any other direction you can think of while slaying demons.” Season Blessings and Smoldering Ashes Move to the Journey In a significant change from past seasons, Season Blessings and Smoldering Ashes are no longer tied to the season’s Battle Pass. Instead, they’re now integrated into the Season Journey, earned by completing objectives and progressing through chapters. This new system aligns player effort directly with gameplay benefits, making the grind feel more rewarding.  Once unlocked, Smoldering Ashes can be used to activate a new set of Season Blessings. These are now connected to the Reliquaries system introduced in Season 8. Here Are the Blessings You Can Unlock in Season 8 Players can choose how to spend their Ashes across a lineup of Season 8-exclusive Urns. Each of them offers gameplay advantages tied to endgame content:

• Urn of Oaths: Increases Unveiler’s Oath reputation gain
• Urn of Masterworking: Boosts drop rates for Obducite in Nightmare Dungeons and Infernal Hordes
• Urn of Lies: Raises the chance of summoning Belial after defeating a Lair Boss
• Urn of Ancestral Whispers: Improves chances to earn an Ancestral Cache when turning in Whispers
• Urn of Glyphs: Offers a chance to earn an extra upgrade when leveling glyphs

These targeted boosts give players more control over their seasonal progression.
