While Blizzard hasn’t officially announced the end date for Diablo 4 Season 8, players logging in can see a clear hint: The Battle Pass Reliquary for Belial’s Return shows 36 days remaining. That places the likely end date at June 30, 2025! In-Game Countdown Reveals Season 8 End Date? Blizzard has confirmed that Season 8 will be shorter than usual, but they haven’t provided an end date. Instead, the countdown timer in-game offers the most accurate estimate available right now, as you can see in the screenshot below.
Season 9 and the Return of Standard Cadence Blizzard also confirmed they’re returning back to the usual seasonal cadence with Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim! PTR stream already? Season 8 is a little shorter than normal and we are going back to our normal cadence with Season 9.
We got a lot to talk about and will chat about some of the feedback related to topics around Reliquary and more.
See everyone next week! https://t.co/liWPUGrHm3— Adam Fletcher (@PezRadar) May 15, 2025 Patch 2.3.0 PTR testing begins May 27 and the latest season is packed with new features. Check out the official PTR notes for more details on what to expect! It’s also worth noting that Season 8 might get extended if Blizzard still needs to work on the Season 9. Season 9 Start? As is tradition with D4 seasons, a new season begins on the very same day the previous one ends, so June 30 would also be the first day of Season 9.
